Asheville Gears Up For Bele Chere


Every summer, historic downtown Asheville transforms into the home of one of the Southeast's largest outdoor music festivals, and the annual event promises to be better than ever this July 24-26. Drawing more than 300,000 festival-goers every year, the 2009 Bele Chere line up is sure to please every musical taste. There will be four main stages featuring free live music from a range of genres. From reggae and rock to bluegrass and blues, Asheville will enjoy local and regional talent. Entertainment highlights will include The Afromotive, Charles Sayles, Highly Kind, Sons of Ralph (who played during last year's Summer Concert Series in The Ramble), and more.

Meet Corey Black


If you've visited the Living Well Center, you've probably seen Corey Black, Biltmore Farms' Residential Community Associate. By filling this full-time position, Corey is able to make residents' experiences in the community as pleasant, fun, and fulfilling as possible. Throughout the day, you can find him planning events and insuring that each person who visits the Living Well Center has everything that they need. When asked about his favorite part of the job, Corey responded that it is "leading activities with the children and families and seeing them relaxing and enjoying each other's company."

Edwin McCain Kicks off the Summer Concert Series


When you think of big names in the music world, you might also think that you have to travel to Raleigh, Atlanta, or New York to attend the best concerts. When you live in The Ramble Biltmore Forest, however, you don't even have to venture beyond the gates to enjoy a night of entertainment. The Ramble, an Asheville gated community offering luxury homes and homesites, kicked off their 2009 Summer Concert Series on Friday, June 19th, with alternative rock singer/songwriter Edwin McCain.
