Wetlands Protection
Permanent conservation easements along The Ramble’s many streams including Dingle Creek set aside this area as protected wetlands. A buffer for neighbors and a haven for wildlife and birds, these corridors ensure a healthy natural ecosystem for generations to come while preserving the community’s natural beauty.
Biltmore Farms has contributed to a Clean Water Management Trust fund joint grant application with the City of Asheville to restore portions of Dingle Creek both on and upstream of The Ramble. Restoration completed in July 2010 included a portion of Ramble acreage set aside for wetland restoration.
