William Estes Elementary School, Valley Springs Middle School, T. C. Roberson High School are all adjacent to Biltmore Park accessible via the southern gate.

Private

Carolina Day School is one-half mile north of The Ramble’s main entrance. Additional nearby preparatory schools include The Asheville School and Christ School, both founded in 1900, and Veritas Christian Academy.

Higher Education

The Asheville area offers many opportunities for higher education. Area colleges include the University of North Carolina at Asheville, Warren Wilson College, Brevard College, Montreat College, and Mars Hill College. The Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College offers full-time as well as a continuing education curriculum and has earned a national championship for its renowned culinary program. The school regularly offers worthwhile dining opportunities for the public in its beautifully restored Magnolia House run by its students.
